Apartments in Rome - About Us

Leon Kammer

I'm Leon Kammer, Australian now living in Rome; have been here for five years with my family, one of those things that happen and you still wonder how, because it was totally unplanned and people say, "how did you end up in Rome?" I kind of have to think about it for a while and trace back the steps of our last 8 years - then I try to answer them and not be too boring; we left Australia, lived and worked in Thailand with the full intention to return to Australia after spending a year in Bangkok, but decided to move on instead; New York for a year, South of France and finally Rome; then decided on a business we loved and we are still in Rome, 6 years later. So when you combine a city that you love with a business that you love - it's not too shabby for something that was unplanned. If you're thinking - "how did you do it " I will have to think about it for a while before I answer - after all taking your time is part of the culture in Italy.

Jill Kammer

Our family, left Australia back in '97 for a 6 month stay in Bangkok and just never went back, the thrill of living in a new country is too exciting to describe, we moved on to Italy in '98, a short stint in the south of France then on to New York in '99, then unanimously we decided to base ourselves in bella Roma in 2000 - a decision we don't regret, what a city, what a country!!

And then there is the rest of the team who may speak various languages such as English, Italian, French and German.
